How To Register For The Disney Princess Half Marathon 2020 – June 4, 2019

June 3, 2019 · In: Disney World, Fitness, Travel

Hi y’all! Long time, no talk. It has been a crazy few weeks and I sadly haven’t gotten the chance to post. I was on vacation for a week with family, then after getting back I got a nasty sinus infection. After a few sleepless nights, about a dozen boxes of tissues, and a tub of Vicks, I am feeling much better! Today I have a last minute blog post talking all about Disney Princess Half Marathon Registration for 2020. Registration opens TOMORROW, Tuesday June 4th, and I’m going to tell you everything you need to know!

Let’s start off with the basics. Registration opens Tuesday June 4th at 10am EST, which is 7AM PST. It is CRUCIAL you are on time, or even a few minutes early to register! You can sign up on the Princess Half page of RunDisney.com which I will link HERE.

If there’s one thing doing/signing up for these races for the past 5 years has taught me it is to be prepared for anything! Websites may crash, times may be a few minutes off, etc. TRY NOT TO PANIC! While events can and will sell out quickly, if you are prepared you’ll have no problem with registration!

Here’s a short list of things you can do to be prepared and ready tomorrow morning:

  • Make sure your MyDisneyExperience account is created and you know your username/password off the top of your head. Disney started running their own race registration last year, so you now use your Disney account to sign up.
  • Have both a computer and a phone ready and loading the registration page. This makes your chances better and one will probably load faster than the other. If you WiFi isn’t the best or if you’re in a public area use your data on your phone since it may be faster.
  • Have your payment in hand. Whether it’s a credit card, a debit card, or a Disney gift card, be ready to go with your payment method.

If you cannot sign in on time, have someone else sign up for you. Again, EVENTS WILL SELL OUT. Princess Weekend sells out faster than any other race, especially the 5K.

If you are having someone register for you or you are registering someone else you’ll need this personal information:

  • Email Address
  • Birth date/Year
  • Shirt Size (Men’s and Women’s cuts available)
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Emergency Contact

You are asked for a proof of time for both the half and the challenge. While you can put it in while signing up, you can come back and add a POT until November 19, 2019. Races used for proof of time cannot be virtual races, they must be at least 10K in length, and you need a website link to your finish time. Race dates can be from February 1, 2018 – November 19, 2019.

To change/add your proof of time go to RunDisney.com and select “manage account” under Help & Support.

After signing into your account you’ll be taken to the page below. From there select “Your Registrations” on the upper left hand corner.

From there, select “Edit Registration” on the right. From there you can scroll down in your form and change whatever information you need to edit.

Now let’s get into the FUN PART! Normally we have to wait MONTHS UPON MONTHS to learn the themes for the races. Well, Disney does allow race attendees to preorder merch online while registering. I noticed they had the pins out which featured the princesses for each race! I’ll attach some screenshots below. But right now it is looking like the 5K is Moana, the 10K is Pocahontas, the half marathon is Cinderella, and the challenge is the 3 fairies from Sleeping Beauty.

Honestly not a fan of Moana or Poca, and forever wishing Tiana would get some love, but since this will be my 5th year I wanted to do all 3 races. From the looks of the kids ears they are offering, the Kid’s Races will be Flounder/The Little Mermaid-themed.

I also want to make it clear that none of these pins are exclusively online preorder. The pins will still be available at the Expo. In the past they have offered some items that are exclusive to preorders, but from my understanding these are not those items. It was also exciting to see that they will be doing Passholder merch again this year!

I hope this blog post could help some of y’all out a little bit! I am so sorry it’s last minute, but I figured I’d still shoot it out to y’all. If you have any questions feel free to comment below, or shoot me a DM on Instagram @TheNorthernPrepster. Also be sure to share this with someone who would find it useful!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo
Jayme

💫My Short Review of Epic Universe💫 *as a Dis 💫My Short Review of Epic Universe💫
*as a Disney annual passholder*
(blog post & YouTube video coming soon)

‼️TLDR: Overall it was as chaotic as I expected so I was neither impressed nor disappointed. However I’m unsure how things will suddenly be running smoothly at the opening that’s just 2 weeks away.

✨I’ll start with our highlight which was mainly Super Nintendo World! I was a big Nintendo kid so this was very anticipated for me. While the rides were meh the land is extremely immersive. I do wish we had more time to explore the games you can play with the power up bands!

🍔As for food we didn’t eat a ton but had lunch at Oak & Star Tavern (BBQ) which was much better than I expected! Not the best theme park food I’ve ever had but definitely better than anything I’ve had at Universal in the past. We also got a frozen melon apple drink in Nintendo that was perfect for a hot day!

🐉Isle of Berk was cool overall but for such a niche IP I wasn’t really interested. The one ride we rode in the land - Hiccup’s Wing Gliders - ended up being our favorite!

🧟‍♂️Dark Universe was a tad underwhelming. I was really looking forward to it but it didn’t really do it for me. At night it was cool but the ride wasn’t as good as I was expecting. I’ve heard quotes that this is the “most technologically advanced ride in the world” and that’s simply not true. However the ride wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be!

🇫🇷Magical Paris was neat despite me not being a Harry Potter fan. It really felt like Paris! However the lack of attractions there is a huge problem.

🎢Despite it being technical rehearsals to me does not justify the amount of rides that were either completely shut down or broke at some point. Only 2 attractions in the entire park had zero issues all day. We rode 4 attractions since everything else was closed (2 would’ve caused motion sickness). I don’t see how these will magically be working in 2 weeks. The closures caused long wait time and chaos in every aspect. At opening they had no system for filtering people into queues in a reasonable manner. Something Disney figured out decades ago.

Glad we went and experienced something new! #epicuniverse

Spring has sprung🌸 I snagged this iconic tweed Spring has sprung🌸

I snagged this iconic tweed jacket from @lillypulitzer most recent sale and I’m obsessed - I got the matching dress and can’t wait to wear it as a set💚

I’m also loving this belt from @jmclaughlin 🤍 As someone who struggles to find belts curated to my style when I saw this I fell in love. I finally snagged it in Newport Beach a few weeks ago and I’m obsessed! It truly elevates every look👏🏼
