Summer is here! Am I the only one who has noticed an extreme fruit trend in stores? I love it! Everywhere I turn, from clothing to homewares, I am noticing the trend of fruit prints and designs (especially citrus)! Hey y’all! Today I am going to be doing a post that’s a bit different for me. I’m going to share three ways that you can spice up your favorite waffle or pancake recipe! Now I’m not going to provide a base recipe because first of all, I’m not a chef lol. Also, I’m a box mix gal because I’ve tried many recipes and honestly they never are as good lol. But I figure everyone has their own way to make waffles or pancakes and some people may have food allergies. Anyway, enough with my excuses… Let’s get into it!
WARNING: MAKING THE FOLLOWING RECIPE MAY RESULT IN CONSUMING LARGE AMOUNTS OF FRUIT AND CAN BE HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.
But really though, this stuff is easy to make, and tastes delicious. About a year ago I started making this fruit salad. And like all of my eating habits I go through stages where I am OBSESSED with something and eat it non-stop, then I don’t eat it for months… The last time I made this was I believe in February or March, so it’s been a while. We ate this stuff like it was our job back when we lived in PA. Since moving to Florida we’ve learned how surprisingly hard it is to find good fruit here, which you wouldn’t typically think. Grapes and strawberries are next to impossible to find in good condition down here, and apples are 50/50. And those are your first 3 ingredients for this simple recipe…
