Chicken Guy! Disney Springs Review – Coming Soon to South Florida!

August 7, 2019 · In: Disney World, Travel

Hi y’all! Welcome back to my blog! Sorry I’ve been on a bit of a hiatus lately, we spent all last week on vacation with family in Hilton Head, SC so I decided to give myself a little break.

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen that before we left we got to go to Chicken Guy! at Disney Springs to try out some of the best items on their menu. We had so much fun and left stuffed, and we want to thank Chicken Guy! for hosting us!

I also have some exciting news for my South Florida readers: Chicken Guy! is coming to Aventura Mall! That’s right y’all, there will now be TWO Chicken Guy! locations. One at Disney Springs and one at the Aventura Mall in Miami. This new location is set to open near the end of August. So keep your eyes peeled, you don’t want to miss out!

If you’re unfamiliar with Chicken Guy!, it is a walk-up style restaurant located at Disney Springs in the same building as Planet Hollywood. It gets its name from celebrity chef, Guy Fieri, who has made the menus for both Planet Hollywood and Chicken Guy! As the name suggests, Chicken Guy! only sells chicken lol. Strips, sandwiches, and salads are all available and accompanied by a variety of sides, drinks, and 22 DIPPING SAUCES. Let’s get into what we tried!

We couldn’t go to Chicken Guy! and not get chicken strips. Their chicken is always fresh – never frozen – and is hand breaded every day! They also offer grilled chicken strips which are gluten free. We got to try ALL of the sauces y’all, which are also made in-house. Our favorites were #3 Ranchero, #9 Buffalo, #11 Buttermilk Ranch, #12 Lemon Pepper, and #14 Teriyaki. There really is a sauce for everyone! Make sure you go on their website and sign up for the Sauce Squad to earn rewards and get free sauces on each visit! Tenders come in either 3 ($5.99) or 5 ($7.99) and come with your choice of 2 sauces.

Ashley decided to try the Big Bite B.L.A.T. sandwich, which is 2 tenders on a bun with bacon, lettuce, avocado creama, tomatoes, and buttermilk ranch. Their sandwiches are delicious and filling! They range from $5.99 to $6.99, making it more than affordable. Chicken Guy! is a great place to try something unique to Disney World while staying on a budget.

We had to try some of their mouth-watering sides! The fried pickles were a must and so good! We loved dipping them in the buttermilk ranch. A side of these are only $3.99! Grant grabbed a side of fries to go with his tenders, which are covered in their signature seasoning and are only $2.99.

Ashley and I decided to get one of the shareable sides – loaded fries! This large helping of fries are topped with chicken, melted cheese, bacon, and green onion and definitely shareable or can be your entire meal ($7.99). We regret not trying their mac ‘n’ cheese, but we were STUFFED.

We were convinced to give their milkshakes a try, and I’m so glad we did! I originally wasn’t sure how I’d like them since they aren’t your typical milkshake flavors. The Triple Double Mint is made with mint chocolate soft serve, Oreos, chocolate mints, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream ($4.99). The Apple Cinnamon Cereal is made with vanilla soft serve, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Apple Jacks, and whipped cream ($4.99). While they were both delicious, my personal favorite was the Apple Cinnamon Cereal. It tasted like my childhood!

I want to thank Chicken Guy! again for having us! We had such a good time and left with our bellies more than full and satisfied. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t enjoy! I love that this is a unique dining experience but is affordable as well. It’s something everyone in the family can enjoy and everyone can make their own experience. Click HERE to view their full menu and don’t forget to follow them on Instagram! Be sure to check out my Instagram story highlights to see videos from our visit.

Leave a comment down below if you’ve been to Chicken Guy! or plan to visit the new location in South Florida!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo

While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
