Gifts for Him – Holiday Gift Guide 2021

October 8, 2021 · In: Gift Guides, Lifestyle

The much anticipated men’s gift guide has arrived! Each year when I ask you all who you struggle buying for the most, the answer is consistently men… Dads, brothers, husbands, boyfriends, etc. How ironic is it that men typically think us ladies are hard to shop for, when it is really the other way around!

But just like my gift guide for her, this one is also divided up into a few categories – and I hope I covered all of my bases. Additionally, I got some help from my own husband Grant on this one, so these are guy approved.

The Sports Lover

Baseball Park Map Glasses – $35+

How fun are these glasses for a sports lover? This site offers sets of 2 for a variety of baseball teams in the whiskey glass size shown here, as well as a pint size. You can also get them for hockey teams/arenas in whiskey and pint sized. Or if your sports fan loves their collegiate team, check out these Team Spirit pint glasses.

Pistachio Pedestal – $48

What is a man watching a sports game without his favorite snack? For my own Dad, this is peanuts – and according to him they’re best when they have the shells. Encourage the shells to all go in one place with this clever tray!

Baseball Whiskey Decanter Set – $69

The ultimate gift for the baseball and liquor lover. This is the perfect addition to the man cave!

Personalized Golf Ball Gift Set – $89

This set is absolutely fabulous and a great bang for your buck in my opinion. You get a customized wooden box, 12 customized golf balls, plus 12 tees and 12 golf pencils. I think it is rare to find such a customized gift – especially a golf gift – for such a price.

The Tech Geek

TYLT Phone Charging Water Bottle – $39

Who doesn’t love an extra phone power block? Since this one screws into the bottom of a water bottle it is perfect for traveling and on-the-go! You can also get it here via Amazon.

Smartphone-Controlled Paper Airplane – $70

This gift would definitely bring out the inner child in everyone! Or, it may be a great gift for a big kid interested in tech.

Build Your Own Bluetooth & FM Radio – $100

This is something that would be right up my husband’s alley! He has built computers in the past, and I have no doubt he would enjoy this gift. Plus, I love that they can actually use it after.

Oculus Quest VR Set – $299

I asked Grant what the last item under my “tech geeks” category should be. He gave me a variety of answers that went way over my head lol. But this VR set is where we landed. All the guys Grant works with at a cyber security company seem to have this set – and if they don’t have it they want it. Facebook owns Oculus and this is essentially a gaming system with all VR games. Super neat for the tech geek!

The Academic Gentleman

Founding Fathers Whiskey Glass – $16

This is perfect for the history buff (or Hamilton musical fan). You can get individual glasses for $16 each or get the set of 7 for a discounted price of $100.

North American Bird Call Set – $60

What a unique gift! I never considered giving someone a bird call set, but the right guy would love this.

Wooden Watch Box – $120

A watch box is such a classy gift! I love that this one even has a key and can be personalized.

Stubbs and Wootton Loafers – $525

The ultimate gift for the gentleman in your life – a gorgeous pair of Stubbs and Wootton loafers. I love my Stubbs and Wootton and they are a great wardrobe staple for the classic gentleman. You can find a selection available at Neiman Marcus, or check out their website for more options.

The Movie Lover

Ticket Stub Diary – $14

This is the perfect gift for movie lovers, musical lovers, sports fanatics, concert-goers, and more! Never lose your saved ticket stubs by putting them in this fun scrapbook.

Cinephile Card Game – $18

The perfect card game for movie-lovers that tests their knowledge of film past and present.

Eat What You Watch Cookbook – $25

This book features 41 recipes seen on the silver screen. It is such a fun gift for movie-lovers – and a great couples gift that could be enjoyed together.

Mini Projector – $59

This is the perfect gift for the person who wants the feeling of a theater at home. This projector is a lower price point compared to other ones on Amazon, but it has great reviews!

The Grill Master

Kabob Grilling Baskets – $20

Go skewer-free with these kabob grilling baskets! The basket design allows you to easily flip them, making grilling a little easier.

S’mores Griller – $28

This is a mess-free and fast way to make s’mores for a crowd (or a bunch for yourself, I won’t judge). Such a clever gift!

Make Your Own BBQ Sauce Kit – $40

I don’t think I know one man who wouldn’t want to make their own BBQ sauce! I personally love giving gifts that keep on giving; experiences, DIY kits, etc.  Honestly, I thought about not including this in the guide since Grant would love this and I know he’ll see it lol.

Monogrammed Steak Branding Set – $89

This is such an over-the-top gift, and I love it! I think this is a truly special gift that someone wouldn’t consider getting themselves. It includes both the customized brand and the personalized carving board.

I hope this gift guide gave you some inspiration for shopping for some of the men in your life – or anyone who may be interested in items like this! Don’t forget to subscribe to my email list below to be notified about my other gift guides.

Cheers!

While we didn’t have the best beach weather last While we didn’t have the best beach weather last weekend, we still managed to soak up some sun☀️🌊

The best part of any beach trip is showering after a long day in the water and throwing on your favorite sun dress with your fresh tan🤍 I am obsessed with this new one I snagged for only $35 - plus the perfect purse to match🐚

Genuinely if I have $1 for every time I’ve been told I “don’t belong in Western PA” - I’d have enough money to move to the southern city of my choosing😂 But seriously - I’ve gotten these comments since I was in middle school!

I’ve heard it said PA is 10 years behind on fashion👀 I can confirm people don’t understand me or my Lorna Murray hat I bought back in 2022👒

Heading home after a week+ stay in the Sunshine St Heading home after a week+ stay in the Sunshine State☀️

Getting vulnerable for a second: I love creating content and blogging but photographing myself lately, especially on this trip, has been rough for my self-esteem. While curating this post I was second guessing even posting these pictures because I didn’t like the way my body looked. Over the past month I’ve been on a regimen of medications that have thrown my body through a loop have had me not feeling myself. Even a “healthy” diet and daily exercise can’t reverse the side effects I’m experiencing and it’s been hard for me to reconcile that. In this process I’ve been reminding myself I don’t look at others around me or people I follow online and analyze their bodies or looks.

So this is your reminder that we’re overthinking ourselves more than others are thinking about us. And it’s easier said than done, but give yourself grace through all seasons of life🤍

💫My Short Review of Epic Universe💫 *as a Dis 💫My Short Review of Epic Universe💫
*as a Disney annual passholder*
(blog post & YouTube video coming soon)

‼️TLDR: Overall it was as chaotic as I expected so I was neither impressed nor disappointed. However I’m unsure how things will suddenly be running smoothly at the opening that’s just 2 weeks away.

✨I’ll start with our highlight which was mainly Super Nintendo World! I was a big Nintendo kid so this was very anticipated for me. While the rides were meh the land is extremely immersive. I do wish we had more time to explore the games you can play with the power up bands!

🍔As for food we didn’t eat a ton but had lunch at Oak & Star Tavern (BBQ) which was much better than I expected! Not the best theme park food I’ve ever had but definitely better than anything I’ve had at Universal in the past. We also got a frozen melon apple drink in Nintendo that was perfect for a hot day!

🐉Isle of Berk was cool overall but for such a niche IP I wasn’t really interested. The one ride we rode in the land - Hiccup’s Wing Gliders - ended up being our favorite!

🧟‍♂️Dark Universe was a tad underwhelming. I was really looking forward to it but it didn’t really do it for me. At night it was cool but the ride wasn’t as good as I was expecting. I’ve heard quotes that this is the “most technologically advanced ride in the world” and that’s simply not true. However the ride wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be!

🇫🇷Magical Paris was neat despite me not being a Harry Potter fan. It really felt like Paris! However the lack of attractions there is a huge problem.

🎢Despite it being technical rehearsals to me does not justify the amount of rides that were either completely shut down or broke at some point. Only 2 attractions in the entire park had zero issues all day. We rode 4 attractions since everything else was closed (2 would’ve caused motion sickness). I don’t see how these will magically be working in 2 weeks. The closures caused long wait time and chaos in every aspect. At opening they had no system for filtering people into queues in a reasonable manner. Something Disney figured out decades ago.

Glad we went and experienced something new! #epicuniverse
