If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that in December, I was in Palm Beach staying at The Lilly Pad – a Lilly Lover’s ultimate vacation destination. I want to thank the hosts of The Lilly Pad – Dana and her husband – for hosting Grant and I for a few nights so I could write this review!
Without further ado, let’s get into the review!
I’m going to start off by photo dumping a ton of pictures of the entire condo. Then we’ll get into the summary as well as the advantages of staying at The Lilly Pad!
The Lilly Pad is a condo that is available to rent located in the Palm Beach Hotel. If you aren’t familiar with the Palm Beach Hotel, it is located near the northern bridge (Flagler Historical Bridge) and is on the block north of Publix on the island. The condo itself has a king sized bed, a bathroom with a standing shower, a “kitchenette” (sink, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker), and a nice sized seating/dining area. It is a studio-style room and is perfect for two people!
Some other things to note are the amenities and location. When staying at The Lilly Pad, you’re able to utilize the Palm Beach Hotel’s pool – we didn’t use it during our stay because it wasn’t quite warm enough for us and we were busy, but it is very nice to have! The Lilly Pad also supplies beach items (chairs, towels, etc), an iron/steamer, yoga mats, and even bicycles. Needless to say the only amenity you wouldn’t be getting that you would in a traditional hotel is maid service. Also, the Palm Beach Hotel as a whole is a bit dated compared to some other locations on the island, but the condo unit itself is well renovated and allows for a very comfortable night’s sleep (which, based on some of our other stays in various Palm Beach hotels and not-that-great A/C in said hotels, is actually somewhat hard to come by on the island).
Another huge advantage that the The Lilly Pad offers is that they supply a parking pass for the guest – which is HUGE for Palm Beach. Hotels on Palm Beach typically only have one option for parking – and that is valet. My parents have even stayed in other Airbnbs in this same building that didn’t have a parking pass, and parking on the island can be extremely difficult. While you do have to walk a few blocks to utilize the parking pass, just having one available is a huge luxury. As for location, it is both a pro and a con depending on your traveling method. The pro is that it is right across from Publix which is nice – and you can walk to The Royal Poinciana Plaza, the beach, and the Lake Trail (which is also a bike path). However, if you’d want to go to Worth Avenue you’d need to drive. We knew this before staying here and for us it wasn’t a big deal at all, but it is just something to note for people who may not know the area as well.
Here are some other advantages of staying at The Lilly Pad:
- Amazing pricing – you can stay here for about 50%-80% less than other places on the Island depending on the season, you can normally rent it for under $200/night
- Great amenities – they supply basically anything you’d expect a traditional hotel room to provide, plus more
- Location – within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shopping, plus being across the street from Publix is convenient for necessities and snacks
- Parking pass – very valuable in the Palm Beach area
- Kitchenette – I don’t typically cook on vacation so I don’t need a whole kitchen, but it is always preferred to have a mini fridge and microwave
- Theming – a Lilly lover’s dream and totally Instagram-worthy
- Within walking distance to the beach – while not on the beach directly (although not many hotels in Palm Beach are), it’s only a few blocks to walk to the beach
Overall we really enjoyed our time at The Lilly Pad! I would definitely stay here again, and I know my parents already want to book a trip to stay for themselves. You honestly can’t get anything nicer on the island for the price point, plus the theming and amenities are just fabulous! I’d highly recommend it for a trip to Palm Beach! Hi, thank you for your review. I’m staying at the Lilly Pad this weekend during The Pink Retreat 2024 (LillyCon). I’m excited for this unique experience/accommodations; especially walking distance to beach & Publix/restaurants; as well as a short Uber or circuit ride to Worth Ave & the Flagler Museum (Afternoon Tea); and of course all the extras including complimentary parking, beach chairs, yoga mats & kitchenette!!
