I Stayed In A Lilly Pulitzer Themed Airbnb – The Lilly Pad Palm Beach Review

January 6, 2022 · In: Lifestyle, Lilly Pulitzer, Palm Beach, Travel

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen that in December, I was in Palm Beach staying at The Lilly Pad – a Lilly Lover’s ultimate vacation destination.

I want to thank the hosts of The Lilly Pad – Dana and her husband – for hosting Grant and I for a few nights so I could write this review!

Without further ado, let’s get into the review!

I’m going to start off by photo dumping a ton of pictures of the entire condo. Then we’ll get into the summary as well as the advantages of staying at The Lilly Pad!

Location

The Lilly Pad is a condo that is available to rent located in the Palm Beach Hotel.

If you aren’t familiar with the Palm Beach Hotel, it is located near the northern bridge (Flagler Historical Bridge) and is on the block north of Publix on the island.

The pro is that it is right across from Publix which is nice – and you can walk to The Royal Poinciana Plaza, the beach, and the Lake Trail (which is also a bike path). However, if you’d want to go to Worth Avenue you’d need to drive.

Amenities

The condo itself has a king sized bed, a bathroom with a standing shower, a “kitchenette” (sink, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker), and a nice sized seating/dining area. It is a studio-style room and is perfect for two people!

When staying at The Lilly Pad, you’re able to utilize the Palm Beach Hotel’s pool – we didn’t use it during our stay because it wasn’t quite warm enough for us and we were busy, but it is very nice to have!

The Lilly Pad also supplies beach items (chairs, towels, etc), an iron/steamer, yoga mats, and even bicycles. Needless to say the only amenity you wouldn’t be getting that you would in a traditional hotel is maid service.

Also, the Palm Beach Hotel as a whole is a bit dated compared to some other locations on the island, but the condo unit itself is well renovated and allows for a very comfortable night’s sleep (which, based on some of our other stays in various Palm Beach hotels and not-that-great A/C in said hotels, is actually somewhat hard to come by on the island).

Parking

Another huge advantage that the The Lilly Pad offers is that they supply a parking pass for the guest – which is HUGE for Palm Beach. Hotels on Palm Beach typically only have one option for parking – and that is valet.

My parents have even stayed in other Airbnbs in this same building that didn’t have a parking pass, and parking on the island can be extremely difficult.

While you do have to walk a few blocks to utilize the parking pass, just having one available is a huge luxury. We knew this before staying here and for us it wasn’t a big deal at all, but it is just something to note for people who may not know the area as well.

Advantages of Staying at The Lilly Pad in Palm Beach:

  • Amazing pricing – you can stay here for about 50%-80% less than other places on the Island depending on the season, you can normally rent it for under $200/night
  • Great amenities – they supply basically anything you’d expect a traditional hotel room to provide, plus more
  • Location – within walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shopping, plus being across the street from Publix is convenient for necessities and snacks
  • Parking pass – very valuable in the Palm Beach area
  • Kitchenette – I don’t typically cook on vacation so I don’t need a whole kitchen, but it is always preferred to have a mini fridge and microwave
  • Theming – a Lilly lover’s dream and totally Instagram-worthy
  • Within walking distance to the beach – while not on the beach directly (although not many hotels in Palm Beach are), it’s only a few blocks to walk to the beach

Overall we really enjoyed our time at The Lilly Pad! I would definitely stay here again, and I know my parents already want to book a trip to stay for themselves.

You honestly can’t get anything nicer on the island for the price point, plus the theming and amenities are just fabulous!

I’d highly recommend it for a trip to Palm Beach! Click here to visit the Lilly Pad’s Airbnb page to book.

Hi, thank you for your review. I’m staying at the Lilly Pad this weekend during The Pink Retreat 2024 (LillyCon). I’m excited for this unique experience/accommodations; especially walking distance to beach & Publix/restaurants; as well as a short Uber or circuit ride to Worth Ave & the Flagler Museum (Afternoon Tea); and of course all the extras including complimentary parking, beach chairs, yoga mats & kitchenette!!

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅

Last week I was supposed to be graduating from the Last week I was supposed to be graduating from the fertility clinic I’ve been getting treatment at since January. Instead we were told our baby girl no longer had a heartbeat. Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time to be thankful, and this year that is extremely difficult.

For the rest of our lives we will question why this happened to us. We’ll wonder who she would’ve looked more like? What color would her eyes have been? Would she have loved the things we loved? I will yearn for you forever, baby girl. A piece of our hearts will always be with you, our first baby, now in heaven.

I’m sharing this not for pity or for attention, in fact I’ve felt very embarrassed to share. But I noticed after sharing my IVF journey a few months ago it opened a door for conversation. Conversations with people who have been through it, are going through it, or are curious about the process. These conversations are so important to break the stigma of fertility treatment regardless of your age or diagnosis. While I don’t share every detail of my journey, I’m choosing to share this to show it’s not always a straight and narrow path.

So if you’re reading this and resonate, my heart is with you. You are not alone. You did nothing wrong. If you’re reading this and know someone going through it - I urge you to reach out. Whether it’s to tell them you’re thinking of them, or whether you’re offering a helping hand. This experience is isolating, scary, and confusing. I promise you that if someone has shared their journey with you and you decide to stay silent, it hurts.
