The holiday season is upon us! I haven’t even started to think about what I am going to get anyone – so I feel like I am already behind. Despite not having kids of my own, I am and Aunt to four kids ranging in ages 1 to 18 – needless to say I’ve bought my fair share of kids gifts over the years.
Today I rounded up my recommendations of gifts for kids – mainly geared toward kids 10 and under. Maybe this is also my way of making a wishlist for my inner child? Either way – enjoy!
Bluey & Bingo’s Cookbook – $14.99
Who doesn’t love Bluey?! I love cookbooks geared towards kids because it encourages them to get in the kitchen and learn life skills like math and cooking. Plus, it’s a great way to get a mix of picky eater approved recipes as well as new things they may not have tried before.
Target Shopping Cart Set
$19.99
What kid doesn’t love Target? And the toy collection Target has been releasing lately featuring their own branding just cracks me up. So funny and cute! Plus every kid needs a shopping cart set at least once in their lives. Plus it is a great price and makes the perfect gift for toddlers.
LEGO Creator Set – $27.99
I love LEGO because it can appeal to so many ages and there are just countless sets to choose from. Whether you want to make something specific or just use your imagination – they have the perfect set available for you. These creator sets are especially cool because it provides directions for three different builds all using the same pieces – which gives kids the chance to have a choice and building multiple things. LEGO is a great way to teach kids how to read and follow directions – so they have fun all while developing lasting life skills!
Marble Run Set – $40.99
Marble run has been super popular for younger kids this year and this set has great reviews! Marble run encourages kids creativity and teaches them physics in a fun way. Plus it can keep them occupied for hours building to runs and discovering new ways to accomplish their goals.
Mini Karaoke Machine – $45.99
Growing up my sister and I loved our karaoke machine! We definitely went through a few over the years, and had tons of CDs to go with it. This one is much more compact, comes with two microphones, and can easily connect to a phone or tablet via bluetooth to play the kids favorite music.
Retrospec Cricket Baby Walker Balance Bike – $49.99
This has been such a popular toy item this year. It comes in a ton of colors as well which is always nice. This is the perfect gift for the little one who is just recently on the move – recommended for ages 12-24months.
Toniebox Starter Set – $99.99
This gift is certainly a splurge, but we got it for our nephew a few months ago and he was obsessed! Tonie is a box that syncs with character figures to tell stories and sing songs that coordinate with the character. It’s a great item for kids to play in the background as they play or listen to when winding down or eating a meal. Most Tonies play content for about 30-45min. Also, you are able to plug in headphones when needed. They sell different starter sets if Elsa or blue aren’t your thing, and you can find a variety of different characters online. From Wild Kratts to Princesses to Paw Patrol and so much more – you can find the characters your kids love! And I feel like it has good longevity age wise.
An American Girl Doll – $115
Getting an American Girl Doll for Christmas is truly a right of passage for girls and it’s a tradition we need to uphold as a society! There are so many options to choose from, including classic historical dolls like Samantha, and you’re sure to find the perfect one for the girl on your list.
Little Tikes Adventure Rocket – $174.99
If your little one is into space this gift is sure to WOW them! I am a huge advocate for pretend play and this rocket definitely fits the bill. Standing 40″ tall, all you need to do it top it with a bow and put it by the tree!
Super Mario Kart Ride On Electric Car – $399.99
Have a Mario-loving kid and looking for the ultimate splurge? This ride on 24V battery car is just too cool! The Mario movie was such a hit this year so this gift is sure to be memorable as well.
