Hey y’all! I know it has been months since I wrote a blog. Things have been absolutely crazy with moving this summer, then going to California for over a week. Plus we’ve been spending more time on our YouTube & Instagram. PLUS, school started a month ago for me. Needless to say, I can’t do it all lol. I would possibly like to get more into blogging, but I’ve said that multiple times over the past few years and here we are lol. I figured this would be a fun blog to write and you may be interested in it. I love seeing hauls, especially from Lilly! Thanks for bearing with me!
Oh look… Jayme once again not being consistent with blog posts, what else is new?
The 4th of July is less than a week away! Can anyone else not believe how quickly June has gone by? I’m kinda sad that summer is basically 1/3 over! But there is nothing I love more than the Americana trend that comes around every summer. If it is red, white, and/or blue, I NEED IT! Wayyy too much of my closet consists of these colors. Navy is most definitely my favorite neutral. But I have found four fun 4th of July outfits that are simple to recreate. And never underestimate the power of red lipstick when it comes to making an outfit patriotic.
WARNING: MAKING THE FOLLOWING RECIPE MAY RESULT IN CONSUMING LARGE AMOUNTS OF FRUIT AND CAN BE HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.
But really though, this stuff is easy to make, and tastes delicious. About a year ago I started making this fruit salad. And like all of my eating habits I go through stages where I am OBSESSED with something and eat it non-stop, then I don’t eat it for months… The last time I made this was I believe in February or March, so it’s been a while. We ate this stuff like it was our job back when we lived in PA. Since moving to Florida we’ve learned how surprisingly hard it is to find good fruit here, which you wouldn’t typically think. Grapes and strawberries are next to impossible to find in good condition down here, and apples are 50/50. And those are your first 3 ingredients for this simple recipe…
For those of you who follow me on Instagram (@thenorthernprepster) you may know that Grant and I went to Walt Disney World for a long weekend to meet up with my family earlier this month. During their visit my sister, my mom, and me decided to celebrate Mother’s Day early since I live 1200 miles away.
My sister made reservations for us to do afternoon tea at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. I’m going to be sharing my thoughts and pictures with you all so you can decide whether the $35-$88 per person splurge is worth it.
Summer is upon us, y’all! While I know some of you are still up north in the snow, us down here in the south are already experiencing those 90 degree days. Regardless of where you live, you’re probably just as excited for summer as I am. Today I am going to share with you 5 of my personal favorite Summer essentials that are UNDER $35! I am college student and I’m on a budget, so I am always looking for affordable ways to stay on trend.
