Oh look… Jayme once again not being consistent with blog posts, what else is new?
The 4th of July is less than a week away! Can anyone else not believe how quickly June has gone by? I’m kinda sad that summer is basically 1/3 over! But there is nothing I love more than the Americana trend that comes around every summer. If it is red, white, and/or blue, I NEED IT! Wayyy too much of my closet consists of these colors. Navy is most definitely my favorite neutral. But I have found four fun 4th of July outfits that are simple to recreate. And never underestimate the power of red lipstick when it comes to making an outfit patriotic.
As always I’ll link everything I can find (or something similar) under each description!
Outfit #1
So when I found this Lilly Pulitzer Cherry Bomb Firecrackers skirt at my local Style Encore, I HAD to have it! I couldn’t believe I had finally found one of the coveted Lilly patriotic prints. I can only hope one day that Lilly once again comes out with patriotic prints as fun as their old ones. I will definitely be rocking this on the 4th! I paired it with a Lilly ruffled top, can’t go wrong with a white top during the summer! As for accessories I went with simple pearl studs, platinum Jack Rogers, and of course a red lip!

Outfit #2
While this next outfit is a little more dressy, I think it would be perfect for the 4th at a country club, yacht club, or even a 4th of July wedding! (Have you been to a 4th of July wedding? I have and it was amazing.) My red, white, and blue gingham dress is from Brooks Brothers. It has a gorgeous embroidered detail at the bottom and is just a great dress to have for a special occasion during the summer. I of course had to wear a strand of pearls with this, it really pulls it together. I once again wore Jacks with this, this time in silver. They really are the perfect summer shoe!

Outfit #3
So one of my biggest struggles is that I have an abundance of blue in my closet, but not a lot of red. Do you struggle with this? Fear not! Have some nautical accessories? Some metallics? White bottoms? A red lipstick? Any/all of these can be paired with blue and, in my opinion, instantly look patriotic! This navy blue top from Brooks Brothers has a fun embroidered detail (it can’t really be seen in the photo unfortunately) and paired perfectly with this gold chain link pave necklace (purchased from Target ages ago). Some white denim shorts from J.Crew and some Jacks really pulled it together. Yes, I am wearing silver shoes with gold jewelry… What can I say? I love metal mixing!

Outfit #4
This outfit has to be my favorite! And if I didn’t live in Florida, where it’ll probably be 100 degrees on the 4th, I would totally wear it! Would you believe me if I told you this ADORABLE red gingham peplum tank was from Walmart? Yes, you heard that right, WALMART. Not to mention it was under $12, and they sell it in black gingham and blue stripes. Also want to mention that for the first time in my life I found white jeans that actually fit me… Am I the only one that has issues with finding white jeans that fit? They are also from Walmart, but I will warn you I had to size up 2 sizes from my normal jean size. I’m normally a 4 and these are an 8. My long necklace my Mom made for me, my blue earrings (that can barely be seen due to my dark hair) are from BaubleBarxTarget. And what would a summer outfit be without Jacks?
