5 Timeless White Pieces Every Lady Needs in Her Wardrobe

July 15, 2019 · In: Fashion

Hey y’all!

Welcome back to my blog! I feel like it’s been so long since I did a fun fashion post like this. I definitely felt overdue for one. Today I am going to share with you 5 white pieces that every lady needs in her closet! It is July, we are in the prime time of Summer and white is a color that will never go out of style. I know, I know, they say no white after labor day but I love a sleek white jean look for the winter, and in Palm Beach you can always wear white 😉

1. A White Denim Jacket

I feel like this is often overlooked in terms of fashion, especially since it wouldn’t be worn for that “slouchy denim jacket look” we often see today. But it’s a great piece to have to add contrast or dress a piece up or down. I personally got mine from Vineyard Vines a while ago (unfortunately it’s no longer available) and I LOVE IT. I know I’ll have it forever. It’s a great way to dress down a shift dress or dress up a tank top and colored shorts. HERE is an option from Amazon for only $29.99! But the one I have pictured is from J.Crew Factory, which at the time I’m writing this it’s only $35.50!

2. Some White Pearl Earrings

I wear (faux) pearl earrings almost every day. They’re about as classic as it gets, and they always make you look put together. The best part is that you don’t need to spend a ton of money. I typically go and buy a big pack of them from somewhere like Target. That way when I lose a pair I can just grab a new one! I probably always have at least 3 pairs in my earring book. HERE is a multipack from Amazon, under $10. The pair pictured are from one of my favorite Etsy shops, Nautical Notions.

3. A White Tank Top

This kinda seems like a no brainer? But not gonna lie, it can be SO HARD to find a white tank top that isn’t see-through. Whether it’s to wear under another piece, to wear alone, or to layer, it’s best when you can’t see your bra lol. I personally found a great tank top from LuLaRoe that is white and perfectly opaque. So if you know a LuLaRoe retailer, hit them up! Until then, I found this one from Uniqlo that I’ve seen great reviews of, plus it’s under $10.

4. A Pair of White Jeans

I don’t know about y’all, but I struggle finding denim in general, and white jeans are even harder to find. For some reason they’re always super tight, or super low rise; never quite right. So far I have only found ONE PAIR that I absolutely love. And of all places they’re from Walmart… yes, Walmart. Super stretchy, a bit high rise, and so comfortable but I did size up to an 8 (normally a 4). The brand is Time and Tru and while I couldn’t find the full length online, I did find the capri version for under $15. But not gonna lie, I’ve been wanting to go to Nordstrom to try Good American jeans (pictured), made by Khloe Kardashian. They are supposed to be AMAZING, especially for those of us with thicker thighs or a bubble butt. They are high waisted and offered up to size 24. Definitely a splurge item, but I’ll pay for quality if they fit well!

5. A White Statement Top

Every lady needs at least one white statement top in her wardrobe. This is the perfect way to look dressed up even when you’re just wearing a simple pair of jeans. Or complete the look with a fun skirt or colorful pant. White tops also make it easy to accessorize since every color will match! I found the one pictured from J.Crew Factory. At the time of writing this, it’s on sale for under $30. I personally think this can be made super dressy and would be perfect to transition into all seasons. Here is another one which I linked on my LikeToKnow.it the other day – love the pom poms! J. Crew Factory has tons of other fun white statements tops on sale as well. Check them out!

I hope y’all enjoyed this fun blog post on this wonderful Monday! Leave a comment down below on what your favorite white wardrobe essential is. While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @mo I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @morganjuliadesigns brand new Jersey City location on our way home from NYC🫶🏼 This only added about 20min to our trip which was well worth it!🪡 Such a beautiful shop with so many great canvases👏🏼

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
