Magical Dining is Back in Orlando! – $35, 3 Courses, and Over 120 Restaurants

August 23, 2019 · In: Disney World, Travel

Hi y’all! Today I am doing a somewhat different post. I wouldn’t normally write about something like this since there are so many Orlando news blogs and accounts out there reporting on events like this. BUT, I didn’t hear about it until late in September last year and missed out on this great deal. So, I figured I’d write a post to share this opportunity with you all!

For those of you who haven’t heard of it, Magical Dining is an “event” going into its 14th year here in Orlando.  From August 23rd (today) through September 30th you can book at over 120 restaurants in the area that are offering a $35 three-course pre-fixe dinner! The best part is that $1 from each meal served will go to local charity. It’s a great chance to try something new, explore the city, and give back a little.

You can search through the whole list of restaurants HERE. No matter what part of the city you want to dine in, there’s something for you! Whether it’s Downtown, Winter Park, Restaurant Row, or even Orlando theme parks, you’re sure to find something. There are all different cuisines offered as well – from seafood to fondue to Italian to steak.

Some of the highlights (in my opinion) are the following:

– Wine Bar George (Disney Springs – allows you to pick 2 items for the “Main Course”)

– The Edison (Disney Springs)

– Morimoto Asia (Disney Springs)

– Maria & Enzo’s (Disney Springs)

– Paddlefish (Disney Springs)

– Jaleo (Disney Springs – also offering 5 courses instead of 3)

– Sharks Underwater Grill (SeaWorld – no admission required, plus you are allowed to explore the park after your dinner. Must email to make reservation.)

– The Capital Grille (International Drive)

– The Melting Pot (Restaurant Row and Longwood)

When you select a restaurant from the search you’re able to see their menu selection as well, so you’re sure to find a menu you’ll enjoy. You can even make reservations from the Magical Dining website! A few things to keep in mind are that prices do not include tax/tip, you must request the special Magical Dining menu upon arrival at the restaurant, and reservations are suggested.

I hope y’all enjoyed this short, yet informative, blog post. I just wanted to share this great deal with you all! We already booked our dinner for Jaleo and we can’t wait to try it. Let me know down below if you’d like to take advantage of Magical Dining and where you’d like to go!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo
Jayme

While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
