Neutral Shoes to Take You From Spring to Summer

May 18, 2020 · In: Fashion, Spring & Summer

I haven’t done a fashion post in a hot minute. Since we’ve been stuck inside for so long I was really lacking inspiration. But I saw a post from Summer Wind and was inspired to share my favorite neutral shoes for the season. Plus now that things (in Florida) are slowly starting to reopen, I am all about getting dressed up to go out and about when appropriate lol.

I have really been into shoes for the past 6-7 months. I’m not really sure why, but I can’t complain lol. Since most of my wardrobe is so colorful, I try to get neutral shoes so I can wear most of my clothes with them. Today I wanted to share some of my current favorites with you, as well as some on my wish list. I hope you enjoy!

Shoes I already own (pictured above):

Raffia Mules –  I got mine at TJMaxx, but Target and DSW have great affordable option as well, depending on the look you want. I wear mine to work all the time and they look so cute with Lilly.

Tretorn Sneakers – I got these during quarantine and I’m obsessed! They’re super comfortable and look cute with dresses if you want a more sporty look. They come in a variety of colors, but I wear a lot of navy so I chose those.

Palm Beach Sandals – If you normally wear Jack Rogers, do your feet a favor and get Palm Beach Sandals! They are so much more comfortable, plus they are a small family owned business – all handmade in Palm Beach.

Heeled Sandals – I got these from J.Crew Factory and they are adorable! I snagged the tortoise pair (currently sold out), which I personally love, but they have some other colors/prints including a cork pair that I have my eyes on. They’re the perfect height and easy to walk in.

Tory Burch Espadrilles – I snagged these back in January at Gatorlilly’s and I’m still obsessed! I just feel like they really elevate an outfit. These exact pair aren’t available anymore, but here is a similar pair from Tory (currently on sale) and here is a more affordable option on Amazon.

Rothy’s Bow Flats – I’ve sadly only gotten to wear these once, but I am excited to style them more! They come in a variety of colors and styles, but I love the bow on these. Rothy’s are machine washable and made from recycled materials – which is super awesome if you ask me.  If you use this link you can get $20 off your first pair!

Soludos Espadrille Wedges – These are the most recent addition to my shoe collection, and I love them! I’ve been looking for a pair of espadrille wedges to wear with dresses, but I didn’t really want to pay over $100. I found Soludos and I’m so happy I picked them! They have different heights to choose from which I appreciate because I am tall enough as it is, and while Grant is well over 6′ I prefer to not wear high heels. I am 100% a baby deer lol. I got the 2.75″ option and it gives me just enough height and they’re easy to walk in. They’re also amazing quality, especially for the price! They have tons of colors and right now they have 20% off their site.

Shoe on my wish list:

Rothy’s Sandals – I was so excited to hear Rothy’s introducing sandals! I really want to snag a pair of The Knot style in Sand Dollar. Again, you can click this link to get $20 off your first pair.

Jack Rogers Espadrille Slide – I think these are just too cute, plus they’re under $100! I love the metallic details and I think they’d look so cute with a white maxi dress. I can just imagine myself wearing these on our honeymoon cruise to Greece!

Gucci Thong Sandal – If you’re looking for a splurge pair of shoes that are wearable, these are for you! I’m highly contemplating getting a pair. They have so many great colors including neutral brown, tan, and even platinum. But they also have some super fun spring/summer colors like pastel pink, pastel yellow, and mint!

//

Cheers!

xoxo

While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @mo I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @morganjuliadesigns brand new Jersey City location on our way home from NYC🫶🏼 This only added about 20min to our trip which was well worth it!🪡 Such a beautiful shop with so many great canvases👏🏼

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
