Bridal Party Gift Ideas

August 23, 2020 · In: Lifestyle, Wedding Planning

I am back with another wedding blog post! I feel like y’all love anything having to do with weddings, even though most of my audience is either already married or single lol. But I do appreciate the love!

Today I wanted to share some lovely gifts that are perfect for brides and bridesmaids. All of these would be great options to get your girls as the bride, or for a bridesmaid to gift the bride (or bridesmaids) herself! I know a lot of weddings from this summer have been pushed back due to covid, so even though “wedding season” is coming to an end soon, hopefully these can still inspire you!

All of these pieces were generously gifted to me by the respected brand, so a huge thank you to all of them for making this post possible!

Slippers from Fuzzy Babba

I discovered Fuzzy Babba on an influencer trip last November and I have been obsessed ever since! These are the softest slippers you’ll ever wear, plus they are super affordable! All of their slippers are under $14, and the heart slides are currently on sale for under $10. They also have this adorable Rose All Day pair on sale, as well as these pink pom pom ones that I think would be perfect for weddings. Slippers are a great gift because you can wear them both before and after the wedding. I already planned on getting my girls some cute PJ’s to wear the night before, as well as robes to get ready in, so these will be perfect to complete those looks! P.S. Fuzzy Babba offers free shipping and they offer Disney licensed products for kids.

Custom Jewelry from Cora’s Den

Y’all already know my love for Cora’s Den. Katie, the owner, contacted me as soon as I got engaged and asked if there was anything she could help out with – she is too sweet! We worked together to custom design these adorable name necklaces with a Disney flair. These are going to be perfect for the girls and I to wear at the parks the days prior to and after the wedding! There are so many options with Cora’s Den, you can customize something she already has or contact her to create a totally unique piece. She is super affordable and super quick as well. I chose the gold mirror with a gold chain; you can get the necklace here – they’re only $13.50! Also check out her bridal page for other fun accessories.

Sun Hats from Kailey’s Monogram

I feel like a good floppy hat is now a rite of passage when it comes to anything bachelorette these days. I’m obsessed with the ones Kailey’s Monogram created for me and my girls. You’ll notice that I haven’t gotten the girls anything that says “bridesmaid” – that’s because I want them to be able to use these items after the wedding. I thought the monogram was the perfect option for us, and I made mine “stick out” by getting the white brim. I love the light pink thread that was used for the monograms. Not only are navy and blush my wedding colors, but I thought the combo looked so cute on these fun hats. We will definitely be wearing these to soak up some sun at our resort next May, complete with group pictures by the pool! Kailey’s Monogram also offers a wide variety of other gifts and monogrammed goods, so if floppy hats are not your thing, I’m sure they have something else that is! You can get your hat here for $29.99.

Cosmetic Bags from TRVL Design

Cosmetic bags are such a great gift to give a bride or bridesmaids. These ones from TRVL Design are just gorgeous, and the quality is just as beautiful as the aesthetic! They have so many styles and colors to choose from, so there is something for everyone. These are a great gift to give on the wedding day for them to use after, or before for them to use on the big day! Since I am having a destination wedding, I will definitely get my use out of these beauties TRVL customized for me. They included my new monogram on each of them, one with JME and the other with a script M. If you’re picking these out for bridesmaids I think a first initial is always a good option as well! Pictured are the Glam Bag and Globetrotter, both in blush pink. (By the way, you’ll be able to purchase select TRVL Designs pieces soon on my boutique’s website, ShopModernPrep.com!)

//

That’s all I have for today, y’all! I’m sure I’ll eventually do another one of these posts because I love shopping for gifts, especially for my bridesmaids lol. I hope you enjoyed those posts and be sure to go support the small businesses above by following them on social media or purchasing from their online stores.

Cheers!

xoxo

While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @mo I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @morganjuliadesigns brand new Jersey City location on our way home from NYC🫶🏼 This only added about 20min to our trip which was well worth it!🪡 Such a beautiful shop with so many great canvases👏🏼

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
