The Best Activewear Dresses for Summer 2023

May 30, 2023 · In: Fitness, Lilly Pulitzer, Spring & Summer

Summer is officially here! I don’t know about you, but my wardrobe is certainly not ready for summer this year… I’ve been trying to elevate my activewear/loungewear closet because leggings and a baggy tee just don’t cut it to run errands in during the summer. I’ve been experimenting with tennis skirts since summer 2021, and now tennis dresses are becoming just as popular and I am loving it! They’re easy to wear, practical, and they look like you put in effort when you really didn’t.

So no matter where you’re heading this summer – the pickleball court, an amusement park, the beach, or just running errands – here are activewear dresses you need to check out.

From Old Navy – $59.99

I recently snagged this dress from Old Navy and it is great, especially for the price! It has built-in shorts, padding in the bra, and I love the little cut out details. Plus it comes in a few different colors.

From J.Crew Factory – $54.99

If you’re looking for a fun printed option, this one from J.Crew Factory is so fun! It has built in shorts with pockets, and from what the reviews say I believe it has a built in bra as well.

From Addison Bay – $168

If you’re looking for a high quality piece that will last you for years, consider Addison Bay! These do not come with shorts, but if you’re like me and may need a longer short to layer, this is perfect to mix and match with your favorite spandex short.

From Lululemon – $148

If you know me, you know I’m a big Lululemon girl! I think their pieces are just amazing quality and the align tank is actually my favorite workout top – so I’m excited to see it in a dress. While it is definitely an investment I know you won’t be disappointed. This has a built-in bra and built in shorts.

From Amazon – $40

I recently showed this on Instagram and y’all loved it! The scalloped details are so cute, it comes in tons of colors, and it’s very flattering. I would prefer the shorts it comes with to be a tad longer – but I do like that the shorts are separate from the dress itself. It makes trips to the bathroom easier – and you can easily switch out the shorts. It comes in tons of colors as well!

From Lilly Pulitzer – $178

Lilly always makes extremely flattering activewear in my opinion. This dress has removable cups and undershorts, plus the collar makes it appropriate for many golf courses. This style is also available in different colors/prints right now.

I hope you all enjoyed this little round up of activewear dresses for summer! Stay tuned for more summer content coming very soon. Sign up for my email list below to be notified the next time I post.

Cheers!

While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
