Our Upcoming Disney Trip – What’s On The Agenda & What We Don’t Want To Miss

February 20, 2023 · In: Disney World, Travel

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that we are heading to Walt Disney World next week! I am so excited about this trip for so many reasons, and I wanted to write a little post about what our plans are for while we’re there. Hopefully this gives you all some ideas for a trip you may have coming up and gives you insight into our favorite things to do at Disney World.

Disney Springs

What is a Disney World trip without Disney Springs? I really feel like people can sleep on so many amazing things at Disney Springs! I think having been a local to Disney in the past, Disney Springs was like our local mall, so we spent a lot of time there. But some things we’re looking forward to doing at Disney Springs this trip is (of course) shopping, but also the food! There are so many great restaurants and it’s impossible to hit them all in one trip. But we have reservations for brunch at Homecomin’ – which is one of our favorites that we honestly haven’t been to in a while. So we are looking forward to that! We’d also love to hit Polite Pig, and The Boathouse is always a not-miss for us.

Character Dining at The Four Seasons

This is going to be a new experience for us at Walt Disney World, which is very exciting! At The Four Seasons, anyone can get reservations at Ravello – and on select mornings Ravello has a character dining experience. What makes this special compared to others on Disney property is that the characters are wearing special resort wear attire you won’t see anywhere else! I believe the characters in attendance are Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. I’m really excited to go to this and I’ll be sure to give you all a full review.

Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

The whole reason we’re heading down to Florida is because of Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend! If you saw my recent post on Instagram you may know I do have mixed feelings about this race. But, I am excited to be back at a RunDisney race weekend because the energy is truly unmatched. It has been a hot minute for me since I’ve participated in an in-person RunDisney race, but I’m curious what has changed and what has stayed the same. If you are passionate about fitness and are near Walt Disney World, feel free to head to the expo from Thursday through Saturday. It is free to attend and just a really cool experience!

Fantasmic!

Fantasmic is my favorite nighttime show at Walt Disney World and I have yet to have seen it since it has returned post-Covid! I can’t wait to see it again and see the changes they have made to it. Fun Fact: at our wedding, we played the Fantasmic theme song as our walk-out song after our ceremony!

The Disney Wish

Our upcoming trip isn’t ending on Walt Disney World property – we’re getting on the brand new Disney Cruise Line ship, The Disney Wish! Disney Cruises are some of my favorite vacations and I highly recommended them for Disney fans of all ages. Our last cruise was in November 2021 so we are excited to go and be on a brand-new ship! I’ll certainly be making a lot of content about the Wish, so if you have any questions you would like answered, feel free to shoot me a DM on Instagram or leave a comment!

//

This is just a little taste of our upcoming trip! We still have plenty on our agenda that I haven’t shared yet, so I am excited to share those moments with you on Instagram, TikTok, and of course here on my blog in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for that.

Cheers!

xoxo

While this Christmas photo looks different than pl While this Christmas photo looks different than planned this year, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas surrounded by peace and love🫶🏼

My prayer is that next year brings the blessings we hoped and prayed for this year, whether those things are big or small.

I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @mo I’m so glad we decided to take a pit stop at @morganjuliadesigns brand new Jersey City location on our way home from NYC🫶🏼 This only added about 20min to our trip which was well worth it!🪡 Such a beautiful shop with so many great canvases👏🏼

Some tidbits from our trip as a NYC first-timer🚕

We stayed at @omniberkshirenyc - overall we enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect (right in between 5th Ave & Madison Ave) and was a short walk to Rockefeller and Central Park. Only complaint is that the rooms were very hot (75*+). They also had valet parking that we utilized. We drove into the city and while time consuming it wasn’t as stressful/difficult as we had imagined. I’d certainly drive in again.

Our highlights were @therockettes and walking through Central Park. We walked everywhere with the exception of a boat ride we did. We booked a car through RideLux for that which I do not recommend, about equal service to Uber for 2x the price.

The boat ride with Classic Harbor Line felt like it wasn’t worth the $100/pp price tag. Seeing the Statue of Liberty up close was neat, but that was about it. Also, if you get sea sick CHL is NOT for you!

Shopping overall was underwhelming, but we did hit the classic FAO Schwarz which regardless of the long line this time of year was a must-do! We got there 10min before opening and only waited about 10min after opening to get in.

As for dining we did some quick spots around the city including Springbone Kitchen - perfect for a fast casual but healthy meal - we did pick up and took it to our room! Ralph’s Coffee in UES was also on my must-do list and honestly it didn’t disappoint! I’ve been to the Paris and NYC locations now and both times it’s been delicious and the perfect drinking temperature, even if you do have to wait a bit. For dinner we got a same day reservation for BG at Bergdorf’s - the food and service were great and reasonably priced imo!

I’m so happy we got to experience NYC at Christmas as it’s been on my bucket list my entire life! I love a trip filled with firsts, since they’re what make lasting memories!✨

✨48hrs in NYC✨ Somehow at 27 I had still never ✨48hrs in NYC✨
Somehow at 27 I had still never been to NYC until now🌃 I’ve always dreamed of going to NYC as a little girl, especially at Christmas! Today dreams came true with a visit to Radio City Music Hall to see @therockettes and it did not disappoint👏🏼 I’ll be sharing more tidbits from my trip over the next few days🚕

*also brownie points to whoever can tell me where this iconic townhome is from😉*

30 hours at the most festive place on earth🏰🎄

We booked this trip after my miscarriage so we could get out of town, even just for a night, and embrace ourselves in holiday magic✨ While nothing will take away the pain and heartache, distractions help the days pass faster🤍

Next week we’re off to NYC for a few days full of firsts!🚕 Defintiely nervous but excited for this bucket list trip✅
