A lot has been happening this week y’all! It’s almost like the new year started this week, not a few weeks ago. I am beyond exhausted with the week I had, but I know my hard work will pay off over the next few months! Due to the crazy week, my “weekly notables” is going to be more “life updates” that happened this week, since there were many of them lol. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy it!

My Birthday
My 22nd birthday has come and gone, but I truly had a great day! I spent most of my day at Magic Kingdom and had a blast with friends old and new. I am definitely the kind of person that doesn’t care too much about their birthday. Last year was more significant for me since I turned 21. And while I’m excited to see what happens during my 22nd year, it’s not necessarily an “exciting” age.

Our First Wedding Meeting
If you follow me on Instagram, you may know that I had my first wedding planning meeting on my birthday! We headed to Franck’s studio, at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. It was an extremely productive meeting, and I can’t wait to share more with y’all in my next Wedding Diary.

A New Job
It’s been almost 2 years since I “worked.” But I recently picked up a part-time position at Gatorlillys in Winter Garden. Grant has been doing their website work for a while now, and we just adore the owner Patty. I always loved visiting the College Park and Winter Park locations when we had the chance. Needless to say I am so excited to have this opportunity, and be surrounded by Lilly Pulitzer! I’ll only be working 2 days a week, but it’ll be nice to have some extra money to put toward our wedding.

A New Semester
I told you a lot happened this week lol. Turning 22, starting a new job, wedding planning, and starting a new semester of college. I am currently a senior at Penn State World Campus (online). It is crunch time people! I had some major issues with my schedule this semester, all of which went down over the past week… The SparkNotes version: on Monday I ended up dropping a class and adding on two more (one of which I was told I could not take a few days earlier). It was a stressful day lol. I’m kinda worried about taking on an extra class, but I know the good Lord won’t give me anything I cannot handle. Still, please pray for me lol.

Birthday Gifts
I didn’t really do a “what I got for my birthday” haul like I did last year, so I figured I’d share with y’all briefly here. My parents so kindly gave me some money to go toward After Party Sale a few weeks ago, and you canĀ check out my haul here. Grant got me the Disney x Gucci card case, which I am obsessed with! It is gorgeous and I’ll use it every day. My girl Ashley got me a flamingo wine glass and flamingo dishes (y’all know I love my flamingos). And my sweet new friend & coworker, Lea, got me a Lilly bangle in a print that I’ve loved forever. So sweet!
